Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ It.
I'm Daniel VanCott. After thirty years in commercial real estate and running an online high school, I rebuilt my businesses with AI as a solo operator — no engineers, no team. This book is that story and the method that came out of it.

We launched at the end of September. Here's some of what people are telling me. The reviews are coming; these are the first.
Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ completely changed how I think about AI. I used to see AI mostly as a tool for creating images, drafting emails, and handling everyday tasks.
Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ completely changed how I think about AI. I used to see AI mostly as a tool for creating images, drafting emails, and handling everyday tasks. This book opened my eyes to how AI can be used strategically to transform a business—without handing over control to something that doesn't truly understand your business. The potential to overhaul systems and processes in hours instead of months, while dramatically reducing both staff time and costs, is eye-opening. This book will become my AI bible as I put these ideas into practice using AI tools. If you're serious about using AI in business, read this book. It's an absolute bargain!
A Game-Changer for Anyone Serious About Using AI in Business
Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ completely changed the way I think about working with AI. Before reading this book, I mostly thought of AI as a tool for creating images, drafting emails, and helping with everyday tasks. This book completely demystified AI and opened my eyes to something much bigger: using AI strategically to transform the way a business operates. What impressed me most is that the book doesn't suggest simply handing control over to AI and hoping for the best. Instead, it shows how to work with AI as a strategic partner while keeping human judgment and control firmly in the driver's seat. The possibilities are eye-opening. Systems and processes that might traditionally take months of staff time, planning, and expense can potentially be completely rethought and overhauled in hours rather than months—and at a fraction of the cost. That realization alone made this book worth the few hours invested in reading it. I finished the book thinking, "I need to actually put this into practice." I'm going to be using what I learned with the AI tools I already have available, and I expect this book will become something I return to again and again—almost like a bible for my AI journey. If you're a business owner, manager, entrepreneur, or anyone who wants to understand what AI can really do beyond writing emails and generating pictures, I highly recommend this book. It's practical. It's eye-opening. And at the price, it's an absolute bargain. Read it. Then start putting it into practice. The real value is in what you do with it.

I listened to it last week and devoured it in a matter of hours over two days… The idea that grabbed me most was treating multiple AI platforms as a counsel and using that collective input to make better decisions. Now I'm weighing their perspectives the way I would with a trusted group of advisors.
Daniel, thank you for sending me the link to Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ It. I listened to it last week and devoured it in a matter of hours over two days. As the owner of Hole in the Wall Drywall Repair in East Salt Lake, I've been wrestling with real questions about AI and real problems in my business, and your book spoke to me on a real level. I'd been using ChatGPT and Claude, but mostly one at a time, hoping whichever one I opened would get it right. The idea that grabbed me most was treating multiple AI platforms as a counsel and using that collective input to make better decisions. Now I'm weighing their perspectives the way I would with a trusted group of advisors. I'd recommend Take AI to Counsel: YAATZ It to any business owner who feels both the pressure and the uncertainty that AI brings. It gave me clarity and a practical framework to move forward with confidence instead of feeling overwhelmed. Thank you for writing something so useful and so honest. It came at exactly the right time for me.

Review Snapshot
Daniel VanCott hasn't created the "next big thing", he has created the way for the next big thing to be created. A way for anyone to learn how to create and build no matter your education or life circumstance. Yaatz is a revolutionary tool created by and through a process unique to Daniel's life experiences. In his book Take AI to Counsel he shares his journey of discovering what AI can do, and more importantly, what we can do with AI. By sharing his process of creating his software (while being someone who couldn't even tell you what HTML is), he shares principles and lessons on how we should view and work with AI. Through these teachings, I walked away from this book with a sense of optimism in the future, and confidence in my abilities to find success with my business and life ventures. If you are a business owner, an aspiring entrepreneur, or just someone who is curious how AI really works. I beg you to purchase and listen to this book now!
Full Review
During and after reading Take AI to Counsel I kept having the thought that I was reading about the next "big thing", you know like the "this will be the next iphone" or "the next electric vehicle" claims. However, that thought process never seemed to sit well. Until it hit me, Yaatz is not the next big thing, it is the vehicle that will help create the next big thing without needing to be Steve Jobs or Elon Musk. In this part memoir and part education book, Daniel VanCott shares in detail a journey of discovery. He shares about his unique upbringing as one of nine children to humble and hardworking parents. He shares plainly the lessons he learned from them, and how those lessons have directly influenced his adult life and why they were invaluable to the creation of this book and his groundbreaking software Yaatz. After learning about the foundations of who he is, we get the chance to go along for that ride of discovery with him. A journey that has caused me to think very deeply about my current and future aspirations. Daniel found himself in state of darkness, a business owner with plenty of experience, even owning a functioning business, but consistently plagued by dread and hopelessness. As with all the great hero stories however, this period proved to be his valley of preparation so he could be ready to obtain and appreciate his mountain peak of enlightenment. While stuck in crushing confusion of how to not lose his business and his livelihood, he takes a chance at asking AI for help. This decision unlocks the gate to the path toward that mountain peak. Through seemingly endless trial and error, and countless hours of learning and relearning. He not only learns how to leverage AI to rekindle his business but sees there may be a way to use AI not as a quick fix, but as a way of truly building something great. That way is using multiple AI platforms to create a counsel or "Yaatz" in Hebrew. Through that same process of trial and error, learning and unlearning he has developed a revolutionary tool that allows for a single person to become the chairman of their own board of directors. A tool that he proves through his own experience works, and works so well it feels almost magical. That is as far as I want to share about this book, because it needs to be listened to in order to truly understand why this is such a game changing opportunity. If you are a business owner, someone who has a business idea, or just someone who wants to be able to improve their life. I beg of you to purchase this book now! Your business or idea could be that "next big thing" and instead of being blocked from building it because of a lack of direction and knowhow, you can actually build it through Yaatz.

I was riveted and finished it quickly. Wise, honest, logical, measured, self-deprecating (to a fault just like a conversation with you in person). Love this take on making AI the tool it can be rather than shrinking away from it or giving it too much decision making power. Instead, utilize its capability in well-defined limits as a council. Excited to tackle some problems in my own career and explore some entrepreneurial possibilities.
Started it out of curiosity and because I am a big fan of yours from my being able to serve as your counselor in the bishopric. Loved the insights from your parents. I found those particularly inspiring. Thanks for including those portions.

I'm about half way through & I just want to say, I really enjoy this book! I've read books & listened to countless podcasts about AI. This is by far the most entertaining, easy to understand, and applicable!
…so powerful and so relevant today. I am surmising that your book will be a bestseller. The way you break down the real-life application of these tools is incredible. You expertly break down step by step how you need to have these tools work for you and not have a runaway train. … You have an amazing story… Thank you for letting me listen to your book, I learned a lot.
